The Way Things Start

We Build Boards With Soul

It's no accident that stepped off the main road and moved away from the mass-market foam boards that are everywhere these days. We won't fault folks for getting on the water in any way they can, but we know from experience—there is a great difference in bringing beauty to beauty: what we mean to say is, when you set your board into that crystal lake or, in our case, the cold clear Salish Sea, to see that bright live wood glow above the waves is to connect two things that belong together.

Professionally trained in traditional wooden boat building, I pride myself on fine craftsmanship, on making a beautiful thing that also works beautifully.
